The Rover-Landers of BC

Hi All,

Once all the Christmas craziness is over we typically try to squeeze a club run in between Christmas and New Year, this is a good way to say goodbye to 2019, hello to 2020 :D

What - Rover-Lander off-road Club run, 1 day
When - Sunday 29th December 2019 Meeting at A&W at 9.00am at Whatcom Road, exit 95 off highway #1, departing Whatcom at 9.30am. Plan to be back on the Highway approx. 4pm
Where - The off-road run starts at Cultus Lake and runs over to the Canadian Border Peaks - the same area we did the "Wheels" event in June for those who attended.
What Else - Fun light off-road conditions, very good possibility of snow, dress warm. Bring a shovel, chains if you have them, boots for sure! Lunch will be at the border view point if we can get up there (maybe too much snow). It looks like the possibility of some sunshine on Sunday (fingers-crossed), hope to see you there.

Sorry to miss everyone again, especially when it is in my backyard. We are currently in WA state spending Christmas with our family. Hope everyone has a good outing!

I will be there with a full truck of companions.

I have my family in town from Austin, Texas and I have a model railway date with my grandsons on Sunday. The go home on Monday so I can't miss the opportunity to visit with them before they go. Have fun. Next time.

Hey, we got lucky with a beautiful sunny day in the Chilliwack mountains 8) . Seven trucks headed out for some fresh air and to shake off that Christmas time "Cabin Fever" !!
We fell a couple of km's short of making the Border Peaks lookout as the hill climb is steep and the snow was deep and icy.
WE did get a chance to play with all the "toys", (winch, snow chains, chainsaw, tug straps etc) :shock:
Thanks for to all that came out with short notice, it was a fun day :D

Good trip had a good time. The Disco ran perfectly in spite of a slight cooling system over pressure issue, once it found it's happy level no more coolant loss.

I needed a project for this spring, pictures will be up shortly.

Son of a nutcracker I just seen this I was out wheeling with the family on Sunday even oh well guess that’s what I get for not paying attention to the forum looks like it was fun and even in my backyard also :cry:

GlennB: It's not just you. I'm on the executive and I didn't find out about it until after it had finished either.

Hey guys, yes sorry about the short notice on this one, we cant send out Club emails in the middle of the holidays so its always best to keep an eye on the Events section, maybe a good idea to check in twice a week for upcoming events. (we posted the run on Thursday)

Thanks for organising it for us. We, well at least most of us, are appreciative of your continuing efforts to make this the best 4x4 club for Land Rovers (I have ever had the pleasure of being a member of).
