Hello all,

I am looking at bringing a container over in December/January. So if you are interested in splitting a container or just shipping something heavy like an engine or awkward please let me know. Still working on price and logistics.

Who do people use for parts in the UK. I have some family who will take some small parts, but I'm not familiar with UK part companies.

Also I'm interested in ordering paint. I wont need a lot of room, but I cant ship paint via air so a container is perfect!

To answer Jordan's question, I've been mostly ordering parts from Rimmer Brothers, which I think is associated with LR Direct. I've also used Paddock Spares. I've been very happy with the service from both companies. If ordering from outside Canada, I would highly recommend avoiding the courier companies. Use Royal Mail from UK (or US Postal Service if from USA) which will arrive via Canada Post. If you are in a hurry, or the parts are too large/heavy, you are stuck with the couriers, but they charge exorbitant "brokerage" fees, which often double the price of the parts, and you have no idea how much the fee will be until you receive your shipment. I don't think I've ever been charged such fees from Canada Post, and over the past years I've ordered a lot of parts from the UK and US.

Stuart I will shipping a box of engine parts from Cox and Turner. How would I get the box from their shop to your container? Do you have an agent there I could have them send to?
