The Rover-Landers of BC

After a little over 4.5 years, my Series 2 is now back on the road. She arrived in the depths of winter, an abandoned project from a Scot who lived in Kaslo, British Columbia. Having rounded up several neighbours, the Land Rover was pushed up into the garage. Not easy at -35 c and with frozen diffs and the brakes on at least one wheel seized. Over this past few years (summer mostly) I stripped her down to the chassis, with a frame up rebuild to follow. Mostly, parts were stripped, assessed and refurbished by me, and where necessary, new parts were fitted. Sadly, to raise funds, I sold the hard top to a local guy. However, a very kind roverlander has one on hold for me, I just need to work out the best way to move this across country to Sask...thank you!

Here she is in all her glory (recently christened Luna from the licence plate and that its 50 years since we first set foot on the moon).

Nice! I love that colour! Thats what I was going to go with until I decided not delve into the rabbit hole of body work and paint

The seats came from a smartfor2 car, that I had read fit, being small and thin in the seat base. A bit of a squeeze but they are comfy (I’m 5.11’). They are vinyl so good to wipe down and have heater elements within, though I’m not sure I could get these to work minus the cars ecu!
