Peak2Peak 4-Day Off-Road Adventure - 27-30 July

Hi All,
A few years ago we did a "Peak to Peak adventure", this year we will revisit a similar route, only in reverse direction
So the basic 4 day route is below, there is a 3 day option (with a long drive home from Carpenter Lake) if you cant get the Tuesday off work.
This is a breath-taking, beautiful area to explore, wilderness areas, no facilities, 4 day off road adventure.
So... go see the "Boss" get your days booked off, get your Land Rover ready and lets see you out there....

Peak to Peak 4 Day Off-Road Adventure – Sat 27th to Tue 30th July 2019
Saturday Day 1 – Meet at Tim Hortons in Squamish (Industrial Way) at 9am, departing at 9.30am sharp, come early for breakfast / fuel etc.. Depart Squamish to Pavilion Mountain Peak to Pear Lake Camp (near Kelly Lake)
Sunday Day 2 – Departing Pear Lake camp at 9am, heading through Edge Hills Prov Park to the Big Bar Grand Canyon, using the free ferry to cross the river then crossing over China Head Mountain Peak to the Davy Jones Creek Camp.
Monday Day 3 – 9am depart Davy Creek camp for Poison Mountain Peak, then onto Mud Lakes and down to Carpenter Lake Camp
Tuesday Day 4 – 9am depart Carpenter Lake camp, south to the old Bralorne Mines, then down Hurley Pass to Pemberton and back to Squamish
Note- Drivers must be Rover-Landers Members
Bring everything you need for the 4 days wilderness camping, no amenities along the way, always a good idea to have spare fuel (the V8's for sure  ). If there is a fire ban I will bring the Propane fire pit, always prepare for cold temperatures at night, hot temperatures during the day. Bring extra water, food, bug spray, sunscreen, spare parts and tool kit and of course a comfortable camp chair.
More details will be added over the next week,
Cheers,
Andy

I don’t have a “boss” so I’ll be there for entire trip, sounds great and areas I’ve not been to.

I'm in Andy and looking forward to it. Too bad some of you can't make it. I recommend you just blow off other responsibilities and come anyway. Andy will provide sick notes for those who need them.

Good to see some early interest, sorry to those who cant make that weekend. Unfortunately the selected dates can never work for everyone.

I have added some more details to the first post. The long range weather forecast is looking good for that weekend 8)

Hi Andy I will be there for all 4 days if I am back from prospecting in Merritt in time.

How many Km do you think the whole loop will be?

Hi Colin,

As a rough guide, from the last petrol station at Lillooet to the next petrol station at Pemberton its approx 240kms off-road driving over the 4 days.
Off-road travel always seems to eat fuel faster, so its always a good idea to bring along some extra.
Coming from Merritt you will likely prefer to come through Lytton and meet us at Lillooet or even at Pear Lake?

cheers
Andy

Will not be attending due to a back issue that is not improving with time.

Great trip ! Thanks for getting it organized Andy

A couple of youtube links to the fun getting down to Mud lakes, Bjorn did a great job spotting and guiding, made my trip down rather sedate and mild.

Just got back from my detour to Sloquet Hot Springs. Was a nice side trip and I got to sleep in to 8AM this morning <g>. Had a great time with the group and was only scared out of my pants once or twice. Looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks to all for participating and making for a great run.
cheers,
Gordon
