Super lock/Immobilizer trouble.

Hello, I'm looking for some advice.
I have a beautifully maintained 2003 Disco with 140k kms.
Unfortunately, only one of the key Fobs are working and they don't allow me to unlock the vehicle, I need to use the key in the door.
The fella whom I've purchased this Land Rover from, hit the superlock mode, and because the physical key lock was broken(now fixed) he had to "hack" the security system. Now when I go to start the truck, it's 50/50 if it will purr like a kitten or not start at all. If I unhook the battery and reset the ECM it usually starts but clearly, there is something I am missing.
Any reccomendations on where to start? Is there a trusted mechanic out there who will do the job for me?
Any help is greatly appreciated, my wife and I just had our first Son and I want them to get around safely.
Thanks!

You can only super lock with the fob, so if you have unlocked it and ran it with the key only, It can not be super locked. Have you got the EKA code for it?

I would suggest buying another key (amazon or eBay) android to the dealer and have it programed. They charged me 80$ at MCL in Vancouver to program my key for a 1999 disco 1.

Bring it over to the Island, and I will program a key for you. I think you have bigger issues than that however.

Hi Tony, I'm not sure if I have the EKA code, not sure what that is.

Thanks landcrab, I think I'll get it to MCL. I took it to the Land Rover dealership in Langley, they were of no help, and a waste of money.
