Do warn locking hubs from a 2a fit on a series 3?

Usually no. series 3 trucks have 24 spline axle shafts and 2a trucks had 10 spline axles. Although, someone could have swapped your axle at some point. Just take the hub cap off the front axle and see how many splines they have.

Technically there are no “stock” free wheel hubs. These would have been fitted by the dealer or owner not by Land Rover. The only Land Rover approved free wheel hubs were made by MAP.

Aren't the earlier S3's still 10 spline at the hubs? I thought it was only '80 on S3's that used 24 splines at the hubs?

I believe so yes. My 1974 Series 3, 2.25 petrol 88, had the 10 spline shafts front and rear and warn M11 free wheel hubs at front.
