Hey Dave, congrats on your Disco's birthday :drunken: . Here's a gauge shot of my 90 from June of 2012. It turned 450 at Allison Pass last summer but I can't find the photo.

Mostly in the UK:

The poor student/graduate years:

1981 Fiat Strada 75CL in red. The first robot-built car in the world. Fell to bits due to the built-in Rust and structural failure of the chassis.
1979 Ford Fiesta 957cc in black with red vinyl interior
1988 Ford Orion 1.4L in Burgundy. Parked it in the end of someone's cottage in County Durham in 1993.
1989 Ford Fiesta 1.1LX in Burgundy

Then I went in to a series of company cars....

Ford Escort 1.4L in Red
Ford Escort 1.4LX in Graphite
Ford Mondeo 1.6LX in Red
Ford Escort 1.6LX in Red
Ford Focus 1.6LX in Red
Renault Laguna Estates, Mazda 6 (various, short term company rentals)

Had an Austin Montego during that time as well somewhere. Nasty. That and the Maestro were probably the start of the end of BL/AR/Rover etc...

Then I started running my own again as Company Car tax made them more tax efficient....

2003 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI (aka VW Sharan)
Vauxhall Vectras, 1 estate (aka hearse) 2.2SRi 56 reg and 1 hatchback 03 reg. Think it was a diesel.
2011 Vauxhall Insignia 2.2SRi estate. (That's the same as a Buick Regal over here)

At some stage around this point, my wife had a Honda Insight hybrid thing. This was Honda's straight rip-off of a Toyota Prius. Only it was really REALLY crap.

Insignias and Vectras were bought at 9 months old for very low prices, as they have one of the worst 1st year deprecations known to man!

2007 Nissan X-Trail 2.2 diesel. First engine lasted 70,000 miles/3 years. Second engine probably still going....

2011 Mercedes C220CDI Estate. Damn good car, but I did 60,000 miles in 2 years in it!

Then I moved to BC:

Currently have:

2013 Nissan Frontier provided by work
2013 Hyundai Genesis sedan 3.8 V6 Premium. A very under-rated car and everyone thinks it's a Lexus or something!

and of course...

1997 Land Rover Defender 110 TDi CSW in white. From Germany via England and a shipping container. One previous owner. Currently on 210,000km.

That's the first Landy I've owned, but I've used and abused many over 25 years in the construction industry in the UK.

Wow Bryan, not sure how old you are but 54 vehicles owned and I would have to say you spent way more time buying than you did driving :-) They say women are bad with shoes!!! The best one is buying the 7 year old FJ40 with no rust Haha. That was definitely something to brag about in "79.

I'm 52, so I definitely buzzed through them. Some the light and all of the medium trucks were owned through my business - so a lot of people drove them. There are 25 or 30 additional titles that passed through my hands that were for parts or part of a batch of vehicles - I didn't include those because I never drove them at all. My wife, as you can imagine is a bit perplexed and says things like "we live in a junk yard" or "at least you don't beat me". Poor woman.

1970 Ford Maverick - 3 in the tree standard; painted Crown Z orange (with a brush); a 15th birthday gift from my uncle in CR.
1974 Triumph Spitfire - convertible; 4 speed; green; great for picking-up the girls at Willows Beach in Victoria.
1970ish Mazda B1800 pick-up - red; 4 speed; bought it when the transmission packed in on the Spitfire; no good for the girls.
1984 VW Rabbit GTI - black with red trim; 5 speed; sunroof; very fast and fun to play with; even better for picking-up girls!
1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 - metallic green; automatic; lost my mind and thought I could sell real estate while driving a couch!!
1990 Ford Explorer XL - red and silver; 5 speed; no more girls but found? a wife and looking to the future.
1994 Ford Explorer XLT - silver and white; automatic; domesticated with room for the dog.
2000 Ford Explorer Limited - gold; automatic; the wife liked to drive it.
2007 Ford Explorer Limited - black on black; automatic; fully loaded luxury; the wife really liked to drive this one.
2008 Hyundai Tiburon - blue; 4 cylinder; automatic with sport shift; the commuter car to and from work. Still have it 60K.
2002 Land Rover Discovery II - silver; V8; my project vehicle.
2016 Lincoln Navigator - white metallic; V6 Eco-Boost; the concession made to the wife for buying the Discovery.
1984 Land Rover Series 3 half-ton (Lightweight) - green; right-hand drive; 4 speed manual; yet another project vehicle.

Of them all I regret selling the GTI the most. The one I miss the least was the Olds Delta 88. What was I thinking?

Its been awhile, like 8 years since anyone added a vehicle to this list. Is it worth bringing it to the surface again? I know I have a few to add to my post. And Bill, my Disco 2 made it to 442,000 km so almost made 450!

cheers, Dave Blair (Posting as Rova Parts)
