Yikes, that's tough. Wouldn't have expected that after a rebuild. 😕

So it turns out the machinist made a mistake and he replaced the valves, guides and gaskets at no cost. Truck is back on the road and starting to get used for stuff. Tomorrow I hope to get to the paint shop to match up the camo colours. Still lot's of little things to do, I have a suspicion my generator is not charging and I have to find the time to test it.

I snuck a look at your truck when I came by for those Range Rover parts. It is a great looking restoration.

Any piece helps. As soon as my Blue defender is finished, I'm going to start working on restoration the RR. The 3.5 needs a refresh as it's getting tired, especially on #8 cylinder. And I put another dent in it 😂😂.
