1954 series one lost and never seen again

#1 Post by Whateverineed » Thu May 30, 2024 7:55 pm

I came to Canada not being aware that I could have brought my own 88 along.
I came across a 1954 series one, I needed a bit of work on it but lacked the tools or knowledge and space.
I found another enthusiast and backyard mechanic in Richmond on the Westminster hwy just off the 99.
I allowed Mr Allan P Taylor to do some repairs and during our many conversations and many excuses on his side my vehicle was hidden from me and never seen again or returned to me.
This was 1981 and we never stopped looking and got a lot of running around by anyone I asked who were involved in landrover circle.
Small claims court ruled in my favor to be paid before transferring papers to Mr Taylor which never happened and ICBC still has me as a registered owner.
It was a green body ,two door p/u which had been used at Abbotsford Airport to tow planes in and out of hangars.

It was suggested I post my experience here in hopes someone might remember Mr Taylor and hopefully knows what happened to my vehicle?

Greatly appreciated!!
