What are your winter plans

#1 Post by Seekerbeta » Sat Oct 29, 2022 11:30 am

now that some/most Rovers are going into their sheds/garages for the winter, what is your winter project?

ill go first I guess.

I picked up an Air-Locker for the rear end of my truck, so ill be digging into that and i apparently need a new rear driveshaft for the 90, after the new one lasted only a couple of years.

ive got a seemingly never ending list...
- setup my onboard air system so I can actually use the ARB locker in my front axle
- put the skin on the rack I built to close up the back of the truck under the tent.
- build an new rear bumper
- replace headlights and all the mounts so I can adjust them.
- finish rebuilding the spare R380 and swap it
- finish rebuilding the LT230 and install the roamer drive then install it
- replace rear axle carrier bearings
- lots of misc interior trim stuff to fix up.
- replace rear trailing arms and A-frame joint
- swap steering arm and install new drag link
- finish building front bumper
- install oil separator on the crankcase breather

- fix all the other things wrong that I find while working on the above list...

My winter plan with the Rovers is to use them to ski as well as to drive the Coq and Connector. Winter is when I count on both Rovers as DD’s. Summer is also for playing. I try to get my Rover projects done in spring and fall.
