I'm getting the telltale popping on overrun/down hills. I can't find any leaks in the exhaust system, and wonder if i could be running too rich. Weber carb. Power is ok, and fuel consumption may be slightly high. My idle is perfect. One thing I do notice is after coming to idle after a hard run, I hear what sounds like squirting/trickling of fluid from the engine bay for a second or so. Oil? Fuel? Its not ending up on the ground, or anywhere I can see thankfully.
Can timing adjustments change my mixture, or do I need to mess with the Weber? Would a leaking exhaust vavle sound like this or would the popping be more pronounced?
So many questions!
Thanks, Devin.

weber popping
I had that a while ago with my weber , and i removed the idle jet and sprayed it with carb cleaner there was a speck of dirt in the seat. you might spray a mist of water around the carb base with the truck running and see if the idle changes. it might be leaking there, the weber is easy to kake apart to clean. all the best. rick.m. if you another weber i have a spare to seel. as i just changed to a zenith clone. first serious run this weekend. let you know how it proves out. rcm
