Getting to use our 101 Forward Control.

Robyn and myself have been doing quite a bit of 'Testing" in our recently completed renovation of the 101 we purchased from IVOR WILDE in Alberta about two years ago. The rig now has an ISUZU 4BD2T diesel driving an American NV4500 five speed and a Disco2 transfer case. We also of course have to have a Roamerdrive fitted. Our first trip took us from Vancouver to Atlin via the Alaska highway and then down the Yellowhead to Jasper and Calgary. Last week we were up at Schrader Lake, on to Enderby and home via the Coquahalla. A few teething troubles en route but we love the power and utility of the rig. The camper is a much modified Palamino found on Craigslist.
The rig could use a better set of brakes so is getting a conversion to discs over the winter. Thanks to numerous people who have helped including Don Macdonald for safety test, John Hornibrook for checking the injection pump, George Stewart for critical welding, and Ken Friend for overhauling the motor and gearbox. The pics show the finished truck and stages of construction. Ray
