the one it came with was a Tupperware bottle - would like to replace with an oem… or if anyone has any other interesting ideas, I'd like to hear 'em :)

Hi
What my 1962 Dormobile has is a TUDOR wash bottle which is round (about the size of a water bottle you would have on a bike) and clear plastic. They are still available and period correct, from places that sell British car parts for MGBs and Triumphs.

I mounted a bike water bottle (complete with the holder) to the inside of the wing. Works just as well, and cost about $10. :)

If you want to stay Land Roverish, get a Defender one. They have ones that are 4 liters with room for a couple of pumps. The Series ones are pretty crappy. If you are in Calgary, it should be not hard finding a used one in the area. If you don't care about using LR parts, go to pick n pull and wander.
