Have you had any difficulty starting it lately, longer than usual crank to start etc? I hope that you have checked the obvious, fuel in tank, inertia switch on fire wall and fuses.

Checked all fuses
Under hood and under dash
Botton under hood for fuel shut off only thing left is the security override that won't let fuel in from key fob not working right from what I've read online

Try shifting it in and out of park a few times just in case.

Tried that several times plus unlocking and locking from key fob
Anyone know of a rover mech in Prince George?

The button under the hood is an inertia switch, and nothing to do with the immobilizer or alarm. On mine I always program the BCU to flash the 4 ways if the inertia switch is tripped, useful in an accident and an instant indication if the switch has false tripped. What about the starting symptoms?

If you can't find one, take it apart and clean the brushes and commutator. You can usually bring it back to life, at least for a little while.
