Fuel gauge S3 88

#1 Post by davran » Sun May 17, 2015 1:09 pm

I have everything working on my S3 except the fuel gauge. It has a new bearmach sending unit, and a new voltage stabilizer. I've added a ground wire from the sending unit to the frame. There is power to one terminal of the gas gauge itself. Can I assume now the gauge is at fault?

Since my last move I can't find my alligator-clipped test wire or multimeter.

Thanks,

Since there's power to one terminal, if I jump the power to the other terminal, shouldn't the gauge jump to full?

You have to put the power wire at the sending unit to ground then the gauge will show full.
