Hi All,
I've got bubbles coming into my in-line glass fuel filter. I'm running a 1966 Series 2A petrol 2.25 litre. It's too cool (I think) for it to be vapour lock, and I have no trouble starting it again, even when still hot. Any Ideas? I've posted a short video of it here:

Re: Bubbles in Fuel Filter
Your cure for that is to ONLY buy the in-line fuel filter that has the solid aluminum cover. That way you can not see in it and it won't drive you buggy. If you insist on having the clear plastic ones, you will ALWAYS see bubbles in it or it is almost totally full of air and little apparent liquid fuel going through it. You will spend MANY hours and probably lots of dollars trying to diagnose and fix a problem that doesn't exist if you have the aluminum covered filter.
Amazingly, your engine will continue to start and run flawlessly despite the clear filter being full of air. Unless you have a different problem of course.
No--- I'm not kidding, not jesting! No humour here folks! Sorry, I will not tell you how many hours or how many dollars I spent repairing this before I bought the aluminum filter. To find one, go to Canadian Tire and start opening boxes until you find the one you want.

So basically, "if you think it's broke, but it works, then it ain't broke" ?
