I'm trying to sort out my project, or possibly-soon-to-be-if the-wife-says-its-cool-project. I've got my eye on a unit with a less than stellar bulkhead AND i have a line on some spare parts which includes a 'really solid' bulkhead. Both are from a 2a. The project I'm considering is a 67 NADA. The parts cluster I'm looking at the seller doesn't know the year exactly.. just '60's 2a'
What manner of issues might I run into if I pick up a less than perfect match for the model/year vehicle that I want to put it on?
Bulkheads - how interchangeable are they?

Nothing an angle grinder and a mig welder can't sort out.
Although that is my general life philosophy.
Also, easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.....

Re: Bulkheads - how interchangeable are they?
If the NADA truck still has its original 6cylinder engine then a standard series bulkhead will not fit. If your fitting a 2.25L then any series 2 or 2A bulkhead will do. There's subtle changes between the 2 and 2A bulkheads but unless your going for totally original it won't matter. How bad is the NADA bulkhead? Most pieces are replaceable or rebuildable.
