Where does the vacuum thingey for the cruise control mount under the dashboard? I've looked under the dash on several wrecked Discos, but haven't seen the vacuum whateveritis on any of them. Apparently, I also need to find the mounting bracket for it.
I can only assume that the vacuum hose (that attaches to the vacuum thing that holds the throttle at the selected opening) is blocked off, so I don't have an open vacuum line. (The fellow that converted the truck to diesel told me that the cruise was not connected.)

Re: Disco 1 cruise control
No idea but I'm interested in the answer. I've yet to come across a D1 with working cruise control. I was just told mine didn't work and there have always been 'bigger' issues to deal with. :?

as far as I know the only thing under the dash is the brake switch to cancel the cruise.
Mine worked when I bought it stopped about 6 months later and I found a split vacuum line it is now working again.

If memory were to serve me correct, the module is a Hella unit, and it should say it on the side of the box. I believe it is ether tucked up on the right side of the steering column, or behind the glove box beside the module for the power windows. I'd look there, but this is just me faintly remembering this, and can't remember if it's for a RRC, or a D1, so don't quote me!
