Are the D1 & D2 T-case similar?

Hey everyone,
I am looking to rebuild our T-case for our 99 D2 and can get a D1 t-case and was wondering if there are any differences. I know the CDL shifter is as have the D1 shifter already installed in our D2. What I am curious is if the input spline is the same etc....

The front output flange is bigger on the DII and the rear output housing doesn't have the speedo sender. I believe you can mix and match parts between the DI and DII LT230 to end up with what you want.

The front drive flange will swap straight over. Not sure about the speedo sender, you may want to look in to it deeper
