Early series Hard Tops.

Early series Hard Tops.
So... I'm loving my Series 2 Land Rover, but I have a question about the Hard Top. Mine has no rear windows either side of the door. Like the one shown (not mine) , but mine does not have the aluminium braces/gussets... just a nice white top.

I will naturally be removing the top soon, but when I need it I'd like a tad more visibility. Not necessarily a Safari top (which would be awesome) but one with extra windows.
My questions:
Does anyone near me wanna trade?
Will any Series LR top of the same wheelbase fit?
Cheers

Yes it is.. It's not mine.. I was using a random Internet pic to help show what i was talking about.
This is the closest thing I could find. I don't have a pic of mine yet. I just re read my post.... wow.. confusing..
Mine looks kind of like that, but I'd like one with windows in the back for visibility.

Okay... So you have a Series 2, 88"? Sure, any other 88" top/sides will work. You could also add the missing windows as well if you wanted.

As far as I can see the glass is the same from Series 2 through to current Defenders. Current part number MTC3476. The seal is 306287 with the locking strip 306289.

Here's a couple of roofs that fit your description better :emma:

Thanks.. yes better pics indeed!
I thought about adding windows, but there's always a chance someone would be looking for my type of roof and I wouldn't want to cut it up if someone wanted it or it was rare.. only a half dozen built...made specifically for the RAF or the Beatles or whatever
Cheers!

I would not worry about it myself. Series 2/3 hard tops are a dime a dozen.
