HUT LAKE MAY 3rd
Hello Roverlanders. Myself Andy Dean and possibly a few others will be driving up to HUT Lake in Squamish on saturday May 3rd. It will be a day trip meeting at the Tim Hortons in squamish along the hwy at 930AM.
Hut Lake is a relatively difficult trail. lifted rigs with proper tires and a winch are recommended but that is ultimately your choice. Also expect numerious scratches and scrapes from the dense trees along the trail.
From Tims it is a short run up to the trail and then to Hut Lake.
Difficulty- 6 maybe 7 out of 10
Reply if you are coming so we know who to look out for.

Re: HUT LAKE Sat May 3rd
Hey Mike,
Sounds like fun, I haven't been up there since 2007, I don't remember it being that bad but nature has a way of reclaiming her territory ....
See you at Timmy's (Progress way) at 9.30am. Bill said he's in! (Rain or shine!). ....
Anyone else???
Cheers,
Andy

Was planning on it... then blew out my rear airbag (2nd time in one month). Switching to coil springs but they don't arrive until early next week. Sorry to miss this one.

Okay, I'm in. However, don't know whether I'll have the Disco ready in time. I'll probably be in the Range Rover and need a lift after the Tarmac runs out.

Re: HUT LAKE MAY 3rd
Sounds good, Chris is bringing the club gazebo, (I hear there is a slim chance of rain)!
Shawn is coming along too, wants to test his smooth ride of his Range Rover ...
Anyone going for a swim at the lake?
See you at Tim's

Re: HUT LAKE MAY 3rd
Against all odds the rain stayed away and the sun came out for the run up to Hut lake. The run had a couple of eye-opening rock crawling moments which made for some great photos (coming soon). When at the lake (had it all to ourselves) we had a small campfire, a short hike and a tasty lunch!
Thanks to everyone for making it an awesome day in the mountains.
Cheers, Andy
