Fossil Beach Camp out - Harrison Lake

#1 Post by Glen B » Wed Apr 17, 2013 6:30 pm

Hi folks,

Long time no see.
How are things shaping up for the April camp out?
I'd like to visit if it's still a go.

Cheers,

Glen

Same here, would love to tag along as well if it's still on.
I just joined the group and bought my first Land Rover (Tony Carey's '04 Black Disco 2) and am looking forward to taking it out next weekend.

Hi guys,
Good to see there is early interest. Fingers crossed that the sun shines on that weekend.
I still can't confirm that I can make, I still have a rough running engine after last weekend
Will have to see what I can do with it this weekend ......
Cheers,
Andy

Make sure to bring a chainsaw. Last time I was down there (December), the access to the beach was completely inaccessible due to fallen trees. I'm sure it's been cleared by now, but just something to be prepared for. :D

Hey Andy, how are things shaping up for this weekend? Your engine running any smoother?

Hi guys,
Sorry to say, It looks like we will have to postpone the Fossil beach camp out.
I am getting ready to pull my engine apart and the weekend doesn't work well for others either.
I will set another date once I have confirmed my engine repairs.
Should work for early May ....
Cheers,
Andy

Not cancelled, just postponed. :D

Best of luck, Andy. Maybe we should have a cheer up Andy party instead?

Hopefully it's not the first weekend in May... anytime after that and I'm good to go.
Looking forward to this one!

Hey,you'll be near my neck of the woods
Drop in at the camp or use it for a base.West Harrison is open but expect construction soon around thretheway creek for an IPP.If you use the camp for a base you can go to Sloquet hot springs which is nice.Lots of changes in the area since the last time the club was around.

Hi All,

we are rescheduling the Fossil beach camp out for May 25th/26th weekend, hopefully that works for everyone? Let us know if your planning to come out. The meeting times etc will be posted soon.
Family and dog friendly, bring your canoe / boat if you can get it on your roof. Some will choose to relax on the beach the whole weekend, others may want to explore the surrounding area.
Good chance to dust of the camping gear and get ready for a busy year of out doors activity.

Cheers,
Andy
