Hello everyone
I am preparing to get ICBC classic car registration for my 130. This 130 was built as a single cab and chassis model. My challenge is likely going to be proving that the aftermarket tipper installed on the truck is era correct and a common application for the vehicle. I believe rover did publish documentation showing the 130 cab/chassis model and also describe common adaptations for the truck. I can't find anything online so I wonder if anyone here might have leads on any sort of supporting documents I might be able to use to support my ICBC application? Any leads would be appreciated.
Cheers, Rob

What do you mean era correct ? LR's have been fitted for years with all manner of tipper bodies.... google LR 130 tipper & you get loads of pic's of numerous variants & tipper types. I'd just print a good selection of pic's out & take them with you. You could also see if there are any more on UK Ebay for sale... print out those auction pic's etc. as evidence.

He is trying to get Classic Car registration. I believe they are very picky about it being factory original spec.LandyAndy wrote:What do you mean era correct ?

Argh, I see...... Best option might be to post on LRUK and see if anyone has a similar vintage 130 with a tipper body that looks the same as his. They might even know the manufacturer or still have a model type / date plate on it, esp if it was a factory or dealer option.red90 wrote:He is trying to get Classic Car registration. Thanks for the replies and PMs... I found some on-line images of a Land Rover publication showing a variety of 130 body styles including a tipper that looks similiar to mine so hopefully ICBC will agree mine is era correct and grant the classic car status.
