All,
After my D2 threw upstream O2 sensor codes, I bought a pair of NTK sensors, put them in, and got he codes cleared, but one day later the engine light came on again. Thinking it was a fluke, I got the codes cleared again (showing faulty O2 sensors again). A day later the light came on yet again. What I found strange is that each time after clearing the codes the engine ran noticibly better, and ran less well again when the light came on. What I decided to do was unplug both sensors, run the engine with them unplugged, and then plug them back in again, hoping that maybe the ECM just needed to be hit with a bigger stick to remind it there were new sensors. This seems at this point to have fixed it, as even though I've not had the codes cleared again yet, the engine's running better even with the light on.
Has anyone else had this experinece?
Thanks,
