I believe that row defender 90s have a compartment under the middle seat similar to those under the drivers and passengers seat ( I could be wrong ) ... Do the NAS versions have one under he console as well? If so is there any room there or does the tranny take it all up? Does it go directly to the underside of the vehicle?

No compartment in the 90s I've seen. Just an access hatch to look at the top of the transfer case. Trucks with rear tanks have one under the right hand seat.
