Wheels event - Saturday Sept 17th

#1 Post by ANDYD » Fri Sep 09, 2011 1:52 pm

Hi All,
We are helping out on a joint Rover Landers & Land Rover of Richmond "Wheels" event on Saturday September 17th. This is a one day local off road event in the Harrison Lake area.
This will be an opportunity for some members who have not had too much off road experience and want to be eased into off roading with some helping hands.
Also a couple of more experienced members will be needed to give instruction and help out where needed.

Numbers will be limited, so first come first served. Post up here.

Cheers Andy

Andy,
I will try to make it. I have fire-dept training that day, but will try to skip it.
Cheers

Hi Stewart,
Thanks for confirming, I bet yours wont be the newest truck for a change!

Ryan, Tiffany, good to have you along. I believe there will be two meeting points, one at Land Rover of Richmond and one at the Sasquatch Inn.

I will confirm the Saturday morning meeting times later this week.

Cheers, Andy

Hi All,

17 Land Rovers turned out for this one day run up the west side of Harrison Lake, the group included Defenders, Range Rovers (new & old), Discoveries, LR4, LR3's, LR2's ......
A little wet to start out which was perfect for keeping the dust down and when we arrived on the beach for lunch the sun came out for a glorious day.
Thanks to Otto and the Land Rover of Richmond group for putting this together and thanks to the Rover-Landers that came and to enjoy and support. Photos will be posted soon in the 2011 gallery, until then a short video to view of the Land Rover of Richmond LR4 wheelie on Hale Creek ....

Cheer, Andy

There are now some photos posted in the gallery including some of the 4WDABC members putting the finishing touches on a killer picnic shelter down at Hale Beach. It is pretty impressive and you have to admire the scale of the construction.
