head lights
I drive a 86 LR110 [ exmod90 ] . I replaced the existing bulbs with H4 halogen bulbs . A minor improvement but not good enough [ my opinion ] especially when I was driving down the Cassiar highway last week . Yikes ! Any ideas for improvement would be appreciated .
thx . Gerry [ Prince George ]

Check your voltage drop at the headlights and determine if you have a problem there. Do your lights get power directly from the switch or is there a relay in the system?

PaavScan
HID option
This is what is in my 04 disco.
HID 35w H7 6000 low, & 35w H7 5000 high.
Ballasts does interfere with CB radio only on AM not on upper & lower side band.
I've just back from the Naches pass trail, kits have been in use for 3 months.

@ $45. for H4 Hi/Lo with life time on the kit might be worth a try.

Hella or IPF ecodes or pretty cheap and make much better light. Relays and bigger wiring also help.

I'm running Hella with high quality normal wattage bulbs and the light is as good as any normal new car.
There are also these: http://www.roundeyes.com/Jeep_Headlamps ... lamps.html which appear to be sealed. No experience with them.
These are definitely sealed: http://www.detroitspeed.com/productpage ... s_prod.htm The price is a lot more, but they use the 9007 bulbs which last 10 times longer than an H4.
