Whipsaw bridge completion

#1 Post by rayhyland » Mon Jun 14, 2010 4:05 pm

Hey folks, just checking to see who else is coming on the upcoming whipsaw bridge completion trip.

FYI I have some fire-hose donated by my fire-hall that we can use as bridge strapping.

Hi Ray,

Me, Pete & Shawn were in on this trip last time I chatted with them. There seemed to be some concern that the bridge may still be under the snow!
We have to get together the materials required (shawn is on top of this I'm sure :? ) Shawn...are you out there.....???
The fire hose sounds like a great strapping idea.

Anyhow, we will discuss in detail at the RoverTech meeting on Thursday and post up more details then,

Cheers,
Andy

Hi Guys,

Laura and I would like to go this time. We'll be in the area Friday afternoon coming from Armstrong way.
I should be at the Thursday meet, but let me know what I can bring if I get tied up before then.

I cant think of anything for you to bring beyond what you brought last time - of course, how you fit an entire workshop in the back of a Disco is still beyond my comprehension....

Just kidding, I appreciated the assorted tools and help last trip.

Cheers

Andy and Shawn: When are you guys planning to head out, Friday night or Saturday morning? If Friday night, I need to figure out my departure plan before Thursday night due to commitments at work.

Thanks,
Pete

O'Doul and I plan to leave Friday afternoon. We are heading to Lodestone Lake via Colemont. As snow levels hover somewhere around 5500 ft. we expect we may not make it to Lodestone Friday night. If snow is a problem we will retreat to a clearing nearest the big hill for the night. On Saturday we will proceed to the bridge and install curbs. If you are coming make sure you have chains, a shovel and are prepared for self rescue
