Local run - Hale Creek / Harrison Lake

#1 Post by ANDYD » Fri Jan 22, 2010 9:11 am

Hi All,

As discussed at the meeting, this Sunday we will be having a local run up the west side of Harrison with the plan to have lunch on Hale Creek beach.

If time allows we will also consider visiting Sunrise Lake.

Meeting at Michaels Cafe at 9am for breakfast, departure time is 9.30am sharp.
Michaels Cafe is about 7km East of Mission on highway #7 (just after the railway tracks). Best to fuel up before arriving.

The RL Club will supply Hot Dogs and Pop for lunch on the BBQ 8)

Planning to be back on ashphalt by 4pm

See you there,
cheers,
Andy

Hale creek run this Sunday

Hi All,

The weather was very good to us and the day was bright and dry.

Six trucks gathered on Hale Creek Beach for a BBQ hot dog lunch and took in the mountain scenery and relaxed around a fire. All too soon it was time to break camp and crawl up the big hill back to the road.
Thanks to all that came out to enjoy the day and try our best to get stuck in the big outdoors...
Cheers,
Andy

Wow, looks like you had a bunch of fun! Sad that I missed it, but I was in surgery on the 22nd and back in emergency on the 26th. So this just wouldn't have worked out. ;)

Hopefully, as summer comes along, I'll be ready to rejoin the events...

Cheers all!

Surgery? Emergency? instead of going out for a drive in the woods, shame on you, where are your priorities Mirth? lol.

Hey Mirth,

sorry to hear about your hospital visit...

Get well soon, we want to see some more scratchs on that LR3

Cheers,
Andy

Wasn't my choice of ways to miss a Rover-Landers run, but, I'll be at the future runs. Scratches are good, why would anyone buy a LR and NOT have scratches on it?

See you all next time.

Mirth,

hope you are OK. Let me know when you feel up to doing the mountain trip with us. Not much snow at the moment though, so you may want to wait till March to see if we get a big spring snowfall like last year.
