Hello to the group

#1 Post by LandyAndy » Tue Nov 30, 2004 3:01 pm

Hi,

Just thought I'd drop a short post to say 'Hi' to the group & club. I'm currently living in the UK but myself & the wife will be applying in Jan for our residence visas as we wish to emmigrate to BC. Were currently looking to settle in the Kamloops are but this is still flexible dependant upon work opportunities.

Now to the fun stuff, I'm planning on bringing my ex-mil 90 with me :D

It's a little modified with a 3.9efi, auto box and lots of other nice additions as well as a sankey military trailer for weekends away.

There are loads of pics on my website that you can see here :

Cheers,
Andy & Jackie (the wife & understanding bank mgr)

Love your truck, looking forward to seeing it hear in BC. I have an ex nato 1986 aswell but my mods have been limited by comparison to what you have accomplished with yours, good work!

Thanks guys.... :D

Hopefully the visa application won't take too long... well, it's currently 18mths but it's worth the wait.

We'll be coming over twice next year, first in Feb to Banff for some boarding and then later in the early summer to house hunt and check out the local job scene around the Kamloops area.

Just need to get my truck all finished ready to be shipped. 18mths sounds a long time but I'm sure it'll pass real quick.

Cheers,
Andy

Hi Tim,

Haven't really looked at shipping yet, will do this once our PR visa application is accepted. From that point it's about 18mths for a final decision from CHC London. Initally thinking of sending via container with other stuff.... like my rollcab, tools, trailer, KDX200 trail bike etc... RoRo is cheaper but we'll still have to ship a load of other stuff as well.

Cheers,
