I've got a brand-spanking new LR3 for testing purposes, and am hoping to get a few other Land Rovers out... after all, the only thing better than a photo of a Land Rover is a photo of 12 Land Rovers!
And yes, if my suspension comes in next week, I'll be tag teaming with a coworker so I can drive my Series truck up as well.

No but if you have any question about the LR3 let me know. I work/worked for Land Rover NA and was part of the driver instructor team in Montabello, Quebec for the North American launch of LR3. Did you deal with Barbra Barrett?

Yes, initially... however she has someone else handling the press vehicle bookings. Are you in Vancouver? I'd love to discuss your thoughts on the vehicle over a brewski or two.

I'm thinking April 4th. I have a Lincoln right now that probably won't make it too far off road.

OK the 5th sounds good I am in and I'll bring the camera just in case you need some extra shots. Do you have a local of this Tim Hortons (assuming Timmies?). What are you doing for the LR3 is this something for Landrover? Should be fun...
All the best,
John

Hahah, yeah I'll PM both of you my phone #. Jaguar/Land Rover actually operates their press fleet out of MCL, and as for the Tim Hortons, it's just off Highway 1 at Whatcom Road, although we can meet up at Sasquatch Inn too... it's up to you guys.

MCL... If you haven’t already done so, you may want to give your contact at MCL a call a make sure they don't delivery you an LR3 with running boards (unlikely...you never know), installed and locked trailer hitch, bike rack etc.

Actually, they put the fleet at Land Rover of Richmond, and the vehicle has no accessories, although I do believe I spotted the locking differential option on the order sheet.
But it's black.
Yikes.
Hahahaha
But on another note, I now have a trio of Land Rover products in my driveway, and I'm feeling pretty damn good about my life.

I was wondering, it is not clear to me if the HDC works in backwards. I was climbing a hill with a friend and my Glendawagon could not go on even locked so backwards and skid marks on the lederhosen. His Disco was the same.

In Discovery 2 and LR3 it does work in reverse...but there are target speeds for each gear ratio (5 speed transmission, two speed transfer case equals 12 different target speeds for HDC)....can't remember what it is for Discovery 2 reverse, but in may have been a little fast for the circumstance and the moment you apply brake or throttle you override HDC, which may explain a bit of lock-up.
