Went by today and had a look. Not for me. There were 2 trucks one white and one black one. The black one has plastic checker plate patterns on the rear taillights, bonnet and side mirrors? Guess it depends on how much you want to spend. The x brake is nice but I think it’s too expensive for something that just holds your truck still. I’ll have a look at what I’ve got for parking brake parts, pretty sure I have an original setup.

Hi Chris,

I’ve got an ex mod rebuilt motor here. Can’t remember if it’s a series 3 or late 2a motor. I test ran it briefly before I removed it from the rotten 1959 it was fitted to. It ran smoother than the one currently in my truck!

The Birmingham badge was used on trucks (not 80”’s) up until 1959 on the early series 2’s. I have a 1959 built late 1958 with Birmingham badges and a 1959 built oct 1959 with solihull badges.
