Re: Series 1 86 vs 88

I've never seen an 88 series one in the wild. I think there were quite a few 86's sold in BC, but not sure on the 88's. In terms of more desirable, they are both cool and I don't think one would be worth more than the other, at least not in this part of the world. Mechanically I'm pretty sure they a...

Lucky you caught it! Mine broke and it looked like it had done exactly that before finally letting go much later. The nice part is because the splines get twisted the little stub is often stuck in the diff, making you take the diff out as well. Good times.

Re: Cancelled for 2020 Vancouver BC to Tuktoyaktuk trip - planning

Sorry to hear that. I'm still planning on heading north. It looks like NWT wants all people arriving to isolate for 14 days in one of the main towns. I'm going to see if I can just camp the whole time, isolating from all towns.

Yukon doesn't have any restrictions on people coming from BC.

Re: X-Brake?

The drum brake does not work better. The stock design is barely adequate when it is brand new. I built my own and it works great, but I wouldn't recommend making it out of princess auto parts. I used a wilwood caliper and a disk off a subaru justy. If I was to do it again I'd get the x-brake.

So I have a bit of a challenge. My LT77 is giving up the ghost. I have a 56J R380 I can rebuild as a replacement but Ashcroft doesn't sell a stumpy kit for the J suffix boxes any more. Preferred option is to find a Stumpy R380, or if someone has a K or L suffix box that works as well. Second option ...

Need engine photos of a 2006-2009 Range rover sport Supercharged

Does anyone have a 2006-2009 range rover sport with the 4.2 supercharged engine in it? If so can I come take a bunch of photos of your engine compartment?

I need to figure out some hose routing and would be way easier if I had some idea of how it is supposed to look.

Cheers.

LR3 Bushing alignment

I'm putting all new bushings in the front of my LR3, and am a bit baffled at the current point.

Lower control arm rear bushings are directional. The manual says "Make sure the bushing is aligned correctly." but doesn't say how to align it or provide a picture to show the alignment.

Any thoughts?
