Whatever the mileage we should not that they were used on a tank range, and not to go to the shopping mall. Even 10,000 km's on a tank range is more abuse that they would see in a lifetime anywh...

ah, the ones on Salt Spring Island. I looked at them last year. The red 88" in the "barn" is in better shape but is a total rebuild.

Saw a nice Defender today at the Marina, it also exemplifies the generosity of the lovely people on the island. If you look closely you will see the keys to it sitting on the front fender (wing).

Import duty on a used car is 50% of what customs decides the vehicle is worth. So Land Rovers are perfect vehicles for down here because you can just rebuild them. Here's a couple more I found... I did a little scouting around the island today, and my favourite Land Rover graveyard is being developed and only a few Defenders left.
