Replacing the rear main seal... the rope seal refused to be extracted in place, so the crank had to come out. To get the crank out I had to remove the oil pickup again, the oil pump, the timing cover, the timing chain, the chain gears, the intermediate cover, the rockers, the push rods and finally the crank bearing journals and rod halves. May as well have dismantled the whole thing!
