A truck rolled into the ditch just a short distance in front of us on the way up. We didn't see it actually tip, but certainly saw the dust it created giong over.

Filled with dog food. The driver and his pooch were OK. He said the pooch had jumped on his lap and he jerked the wheel. Maybe the dog was hungry and knew what the load was!

A little bit of a diversion that woke us all up.

The shelter kept the torrents off most of us.

Thank goodness we had the shelter for a couple of days. The rain was endless.

The photo doesn't do the hill justice. It was very steep with a marsh at the bottom.

Turned him around and we sent him down again to hook onto James.

We paid $15 per person for our own rooms with shared bathroom facilities -- and it was warm and dry.

Well, rain still with us, we enter the Chilcotin.

Water up over the trees, but its receded significantly since the landslide. There were signs of water up 50 feet higher up the banks.

Some tame wild horses. We saw signs of wild horses the entire way, but these tame ones are the closest we got.

We drove all over the province looking for bears, saw lots of berries and streams to fish in -- and we finally see a bear here in the near-desert country below Gang Ranch.
