We still need some volunteers at both events.

If you sign up as a volunteer (a 6 hour shift) you get free admission to the rallies, including everything.

Let me know if you are keen or if you have someone in mind.

Cheers

Ray

Thanks guys, yes we could definitely use lots of help, at the very least helping to supervise the offroad course. It goes up and over the mountain, so there are a few blind spots.

Cheers

Ray

Need help? Yes, I do that sort of thing. I'm leaving home Thursday morning arriving Hemlock in the afternoon BUT could leave Wednesday arriving a day early if you want the help. Can also stay Sunday afternoon to help then. I'm paid already and am happy to do so but despite offering to volunteer I am attending to be a participant. Anything I can do before, after and during but timed outside of the activities I hope to learn from, you're welcome to my abilities.

Thanks so much guys. I think all I will likely need are a few sets of eyes I can trust, to make sure no one is doing anything stupid on the technical course. :-)

I'm happy to watch and hold people's beer when they are about to do something stupid.

Thank you everyone who came! We had over 40 vendors, dozens of presenters, and over 450 attendees! Not bad for a first year. It was awesome to have a Roverlanders booth right up front in the main area! Chris gave out a few Roverlanders items at the raffle to raise awareness of the club. Hopefully we got a few new members. Pamela was taking pictures, and she and Dave each taught a cool class (travel with dogs, and trail welding).

A huge thanks also goes out to all the volunteers; Roger, Jake, etc. Thanks so much for coming and helping.

We had some challenges with the property (the camps in the vendor area, and the not-level ground by the campfire) but everyone pitched in and we worked around it and it all ended well.

I printed and donated special BCOR/4WDABC (Four Wheel Drive Association of BC) toques for folks who signed up as paid members of the Ass'n at the show, and I think they went through a hundred toques in their booth, so that is great. Every person who signs up as a member helps keep trail access open in the province. The 4WDABC volunteers led folks on some great trail rides over the weekend!

And please post some pics if you came, I was running around so I didn't even bring a camera to the event.

:-)

Ray

For all that missed the event....note to self....next year must make it!!!

Ray and family did an outstanding job, the event was well planned and even better executed. It had the feeling of a true international event that it was. We met a lovely couple who had been travelling in their Defender 130 for 19 months and it was wonderful to hear their story.
