Yes, good question, what should we bring along to do the work? Garbage Bags, tongs, hammers, nails, etc?

Cheers

Hi folks, Just a quick note to say a huge Thank You to Dave and Pam who really went all out to put on a fantastic event. We all had a great time. It was really nice to meet everyone, the trails were fun, the weather perfect, and the camping spot was ideal. We will definitely be back next year. I am ...

Should we bring chains for the tough stuff or will we be sticking (no pun intended) to the lower elevations?

The design looks really great, hope the sea trials have gone well this weekend. I was really looking forward to this trip as I was not working, but now I have been given a business opportunity that I have decided to pursue, so I won't be able to join you guys after all. I need to focus on setting th...

RoverLanders invited to Sunshine Valley Car show tomorrow

OK super late notice but if anyone wants to have a little scenic drive in the mountains tomorrow (visit the hope slide, etc), Sunshine Valley is having an early Canada Day celebration, Sat June 27. Series Rovers, Unimogs, expedition-kitted trucks, old cars bikes etc who want to come and add their ve...

You can still go for the carrier if you use a class 4 or 5 hitch.

Oh, forgot to say, no need to upgrade your suspension unless they are worn out. If you have the stock springs in the back they are rated for 1 ton. So the extra weight will probably improve your ride. But if someone has tried the old "increased flex and a softer ride..." trick of putting range-rover...

I have just had a class 5 hitch made up for my 110. Should take any bike easily. 1300 lb tongue weight and trailer weight of 13000 lbs. Of course the rover is limited to about 7500 lbs so it is a bit of overkill. But if you are interested I can send you some specs and pics. It is an easy swap betwee...

make sure you have all your permits in order if boating around the harbour, the authorities seem to be extra vigilant right now. If you want someone to do some offroading around Chilliwack with you let me know, we live in hope which is close by, and we have 3 boys (ages 6,7 and 9) would probably be ...

We are also looking forward to this, so that'll be 2 adults and 3 kids.

The dogs are sometimes "a little bit jumpy" to paraphrase an old sci-fi movie, so they will be staying at home.

Not sure what dates we will be there yet, probably arrive on the 2nd or 3rd.

cheers

Great trip, lots of fun, the whole family had a great time. Thanks to all the organizers.

Were there only 4 Unimogs? They were so darn big that it seemed like there were more of them.

Or as my boys called them, Uni-Gogs, as in "I was a a-gog, they were so big".

Cheers

Awesome, the truck is packed, the boys are in bed, the sky is clear, and the dogs are getting dropped at the kennel early in the morning. I am amazed that we have gotten 5 people and all our gear (winter camping is never light...) into the truck since I don't have the roof rack on right now. I am no...

OK, I tried the new chains in the snow and ice today, they are pretty awesome, but the way they are designed you dont want to really run them on rocky ground or shale or anything. Even a slow crawl on the bits of gravel that showed through the snow if spots was pretty uncomfortable. But on ice, holy...

I have been having trouble finding chains to fit my 35" tires. And the prices I have been quoted (even though they have none in stock) are outrageous. May 16th Whipsaw Run

I see this one coming up on the calendar. We'd love to join this trip, and happy to volunteer my house in Sunshine Valley as a meeting/staging area for anyone who wants it. (we are 10 mins past Hope in the direction of Princeton, on Hwy 3).

Is there a sign-up list for this trip somewhere?

Jikjak,

bring along your FRS if it's easy for you, they operate on UHF, so my VHF/UHF set can communicate with you.

See you all at 10am.
