He also makes new body panels, frames, and bulkheads. He has original LR tooling from the 50s. His family was a supplier to LR in Asia from the 50s-70s.

My RRC does that. I was guessing TC or rear diff but haven’t had a chance to get into it yet.

It’s easy to remove and reinstall and that will give you a chance to update the seals and mounting hardware, check for stress cracks, and clean in the nooks and crannies.

I’d sell you back the silver RRC but I’ve gotten attached to it. New engine, brakes, steering, suspension, electrics, exhaust etc. you should take it for a spin the next time you are over this way.

Yeah I had 32s on my Arctic trip. Nice on the highway but a bit less peppy on the hills.

What do you mean? I use it in all gears in my manual transmission. It just makes every gear 26% taller.

Ray if it is a manual you would see some improvement but most of the 88 year here are autos and that makes the overdrive a bit problematical. We just purchased a 2000 Disco I that has been converted to a 300Tdi/380 and it is a very sweet vehicle. You may be better off putting your money into a dies...

Hi Ray, my 1988 RRC (3.5) has an LT230 and I am pushing 3000rpm at freeway speeds. I wonder if a Roamerdrive would be a good idea to bring the rpms down for better fuel economy. What do you think? Ray H
