The original style are still available, you know the black ones with the silver strip that winds around the hose. They are available in 1.25 1.50 and 2 inch. I just have to remember where I saw them advertised. I need some for my new Dormobile.

Brand new never installed Rover badge. It was mailed out to a new Land rover purchaser here on Vancouver Island in the late 1960s a couple of weeks after he received his new 2a he has no idea why.

Okay Here you go check this link it shows the wiring diagram with the optional carb heater wire. I think if your Rover was originally sent to the Great White North it would have had the heater element on the carb. Chances are though that it no longer works and it is probably out of warranty. Hi Mike Fresh galvanized metal has kind of a oily finish so what you can do is first wire brush the metal (to etch it a bit so the paint sticks) then wash down with pure white vinegar (vinegar is a acid) rinse with clean water then use a primer made for galvanized metal then top coat with the finish...
