GST when you cross the border with it.
PST when you license it (assuming in BC).

If you're exporting it, you won't pay VAT... if its coming from Europe.

I second the U-joints. My only other experience with similar issues, was worn radius arm to axle bushings; on initial over-run it was as though the axle was racking forwards and backwards in the worn out bushings, causing a similar feeling to worn u-joints.

You mentioned door seals. Do you have seals for the front doors on a Defender? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think that item listing might be a bit confusing. I immediately thought of all the things that could go wrong! Also, I suppose you'd need some sort of traction control or locking different to make it an effective "winch".

This might be a stab in the dark, but possibly a compressor issue. I don't own an LR4 so can't say whether a failing compressor could resonate through the body to the driver's seat, but might be a place to start. Try raising and lowering the suspension? Check over on Disco3.co.uk (They have a dedica...

Yes Disco 1 rotors are solid. I used Disco 1 rotors/calipers on my 90 as they are identical (or close enough) to the ROW rotors/calipers originally on my 90. I think NAS 90's had vented rotors and the associated calipers. Caliper for vented rotor http://shop.defenderbits.co.uk/ekmps/shops/defenderbi...

In case your friend may not know. Alloys won't fit on 200tdi and earlier axles without spacers or shims as the drive flanges are too wide. There are those that employ the dark arts to skirt that issue, making use of a grinder and losing the lock washers... Was rectified once in my possession.
