I had the chance to buy an original carburetor
But with the distraction of work and everything else by the time a remembered it was sold.

Would a early solex from a series 2 with 2.25l work? Of course I have 3 of these. The engines

Hi Herman, The original Solex is very hard to find. You can find a made-in-China Solex clone, but they are terrible, I tried one and it fell apart on the highway. I would recommend buying a Weber 34ich. It is a good carb, you can still find NOS versions, the aftermarket support (rebuild kits) are f...

I could use a original carburetor for my series 1 project 1956
It currently has a willys jeep ( carter carburetor ) and I'm thinking a original unit may be better.

I thought the series 1 was a original
Solex but it’s actually a carter W-0 from
Used on Willy’s Jeep!

The series 2 has a stock solex carburetor
