Thinking of modifying one of these to put power steering on our 101. Could also use a good steering wheel with plain center boss. Anything considered. Swops? Ray

Series III 88 Parts.

An old friend has died and we may be moving his 1973 88 from an island in Howe Sound to West Vancouver to dispose of. Not registered but complete. Gearbox motor and axles are spoken for but the frame seems good and open to offers on everything else. Ray 604 025 1260

Re: Looking for an Isuzu 4bd1T engine

The 4bd2T is actually easier to find in Canada than the 4BD1 and is the more modern engine and dimensionally identical. I think the trick in finding one is not to look for the engine but look for the vehicle as a lot of owners do not have a clue what motor is in their vehicle. I found mine by lookin...

Does anyone have a filler tube off a Series IIA or III to sell? Needed for my 101 project - the existing filler is much bigger than needed and I can use the space. Ray

Ray you could do that. Lots of people have proposed it but I have never seen it done. Before starting out check the space. If it is similar to a Disco1 you need to make some small mods. Ray

Re: Overdrive from roamers

Ray if it is a manual you would see some improvement but most of the 88 year here are autos and that makes the overdrive a bit problematical. We just purchased a 2000 Disco I that has been converted to a 300Tdi/380 and it is a very sweet vehicle. You may be better off putting your money into a diese...

For those that are interested we are introducing an overdrive to fit the Disco II transfer case. It will be on our website soon with the designation ROAMERDRIVE DQ. Last year I got a set of Bridgestone Duravis from Costco tor under $800 all in and am delighted with them. Quiet on the highway yet climbs like fiend on the tral. Getting 100Km for 10L to Yukon and back last month so some something working right.
